The Unite Conference will be held at Open Door Church in Raleigh, NC on October 17-19, 2017. There will be a Pillar Network day at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary on October 19, 2017. You can register for the Unite Conference. The conference costs $35 and that costs includes all conference materials and 3 meals. Wives of students are able to attend the conference for free.

Featured Speaker

Phil A. Newton (B.A., University of Mobile; M.Div., New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary; D.Min., Fuller Theological Seminary; Ph.D., Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary) planted South Woods Baptist Church, Memphis, Tennessee in 1987 and continues as senior pastor. He served as senior pastor of three other churches prior to moving to Memphis. He is the author of The Mentoring Church: How Pastors and Congregations Cultivate Leaders; Elders in the Life of the Church: Rediscovering the Biblical Model for Church Leaders [with Matt Schmucker; 9Marks Books]; Conduct Gospel-Centered Funerals: Applying the Gospel at the Unique Challenges of Death [with Brian Croft; Practical Shepherding Series]; Venture All for God: Piety in the Writings of John Bunyan [with Roger Duke; Profiles in Reformed Spirituality Series]; as well as contributor to several other works. He has written for a number of journals, blogs at, and hosts the podcast Pastors & Pastoring. He has served as an adjunct professor, most recently with Southeastern Seminary’s Equip Center. Phil and Karen have been married for over forty-one years and have five children and six grandchildren. He enjoys participating in international mission work and mentoring young pastors.
