NAMB SEND Conference 2015

The North American Mission Board held the SEND conference this Monday and Tuesday (8/3 & 8/4) in Nashville, TN. 13,000 pastors, church planters, church members, and students packed into the Bridgestone Arena for the missions conference. On Monday morning, the Pillar Network had the privilege of attending and being represented at the Summer LINK de-briefing. The Pillar Network partners closely with Generation LINK and their Summer LINK program sent 90+ students and staff to eleven different Pillar Network locations. SEND Conference-1

After the Summer LINK briefing, the missions conference began. Over two days, we were able to hear from speakers like David Platt, Russell Moore, J.D. Greear, Louie Giglio, and Vance Pitman. We also had the opportunity to connect with several different Pillar Network church planters who were attending the conference.

On Wednesday morning after the conference, 160 church planters, pastors, and Summer LINK students attended a breakfast hosted by the Pillar Network. We were able to explain the characteristics of our network and host a panel led by Tanner Turley (Pastor at Redemption Hill in Boston) with Warren Mainard (Pastor at Essential Church in Seattle), Ken Rucker (Pastor at New Branch Church in Dacula, GA), and Matt Rogers (Pastor at the Church at Cherrydale in Greenville, SC). In addition, Jeremy Chasteen and several directors and students gave an update on Summer LINK 2015.

Our time at the SEND Conference in Nashville was very fruitful and we pray that the Lord will use it to continue to grow and develop the Pillar Network and His Church for His glory.
