What are the reasons you decided to plant a church in your city? Worcester is a city of almost 200,000 people, but is vastly under-reached with the gospel. Only 3-5% of the population attend an evangelical church on a semi-regular basis. The Lord put a burden on our heart for this city and we fell in love with it.

What have you seen the Lord do in and through your church plant so far?

God has really been at work in our church plant in just a short period of time. We have baptized 11, had many opportunities to serve our community physically and spiritually. We have also seen marriages restored, disciples be made and mentored, and many young believers fall in love with God’s Word, and applying it to their lives.

What do you hope to see the Lord do in and through your church plant in the future?

We desire to continue to make in-roads into our community for the purpose of seeing disciples made. We are praying that the Lord would give us wisdom as we continue to structure our young church and move toward the goal of being self sustaining. We are also working on developing relationships with other mission works domestically and overseas. And finally, we are praying that God would use our church to multiply other church plants throughout major North American cities.

What advice do you have for future church planters?

Be patient and let the Lord lead as you go and seek to make disciples. Your plan may be quicker and more satisfying in the short-term, but his plan will be more eternally fruitful and be for the purpose of maximizing His glory!
