Church Planting in Madison, Wisconsin
Zach Nelson, Executive Director of the NACPF, traveled to Madison, Wisconsin this past weekend to spend time with one of our partnering NACPF churches, Red Village Church. There are very few Southern Baptist churches in Madison, WI and there is a great need for healthy churches. Zach was able to talk with the staff at Red Village Church and help them understand how they are connected to a group of other like-minded planters being trained throughout North America. One of the highlights of Zach’s trip was worshipping at Red Village Church on Sunday morning. There were 125+ people gathered close to University of Wisconsin’s campus to respond in worship to the preaching and singing of God’s Word. Zach also had the opportunity to share about the NACPF to approximately 25-30 churches at the Southern Wisconsin Baptist Association. Zach encouraged the pastors in the association to consider healthy cooperation that is focused on producing future disciples that will plant and revitalize churches. He also partnered with the Northland Campus of Southern Seminary as well as Training Leaders International in painting a picture of healthy cooperation.
There is a huge need for SBC churches to have a plan for discipleship in Wisconsin and around the country that develops the next generation of leaders. If your church does not have a plan like this, please consider connecting with the NACPF to talk with a pastor that is making strides toward faithful disciple making and multiplication. In addition, please join us in praying that churches within the NACPF can partner well with Red Village Church to plant and revitalize churches in the near future.
