Women's Retreat Details

Have you ever felt misunderstood or mistreated? Have you experienced sleepless nights filled with worry? Have you tried to love someone who was downright hard to love? Have you ever looked at the task ahead of you as a minister’s wife and thought, “I’m not cut out for this!” Well, then this retreat is for you! The theme of the conference will be "Pursuing Peace: Christ's Ambassador's in a Fallen World" and we will have three messages focusing on 2 Corinthians 5:17-6:10. Please join us on May 13-15 in beautiful Charleston, SC as we delve into the riches of God’s Word, empathizing with Paul about the hardships of ministry, but then learning how to pursue peace and be Christ’s ambassadors in a fallen world. You will be challenged by God’s word, edified by fellow sisters in Christ, and refreshed with time away from the busyness of ministry. Make plans now to join us as we link arms as ministers’ wives and PURSUE PEACE.  Spaces are limited so please register here as soon as possible!

Tara Dew

We are also excited to introduce our speaker, Tara Dew, to you! Tara has been married to her high school sweetheart, Jamie, for over 15 years, and the Lord has blessed them with 4 kids: Natalie & Nathan and Samuel & Samantha. (Yes, They have two sets of twins! Natalie & Nathan are 9 years old and Samuel & Samantha are 6 years old. We lovingly refer to them as the “Nats” and the “Sams.”) Tara always wanted to be a teacher, and now gets to teach her own kids who are in 3rd grade and Kindergarten! She was a Pastor’s Wife for almost ten years, and now enjoys being a Professor’s wife, focusing her attention and ministry on the students and ladies The College at Southeastern and Open Door Church. She was fortunate to grow up in a home where her parents loved the Lord. They brought her to church weekly and she saw their faith lived out the rest of the week too. So, at the age of 5, she accepted Christ as her Savior. It wasn’t until middle school, though, that Tara really grew to love the Word of God. She did her first Bible study in 8th grade and the desire to know more about Him has just grown ever since. She felt the call to ministry as a sophomore in high school, and God’s faithfulness and provision have been proven over and over throughout her faith walk with Him. Tara has always had a passion for loving and serving women, and is excited about spending the weekend encouraging the church planters’ wives.

The cost of the retreat is $185 and that cost includes lodging and most meals (only meals not included are one dinner and one lunch). Please email Jenna at jenna@thepillarnetwork.com with questions!
